The first official trade delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran was sent to Brazil from the 18th to the 25th of December this year under the leadership of Alireza Peyman Pak, Deputy Minister of Industry. According to the food economy news site “Food Press”, this trade delegation, with the presence of Iranian companies active in the field of most product groups, while holding B2B meetings with the corresponding Brazilian companies, visited the business opportunities introduced by them.
Meeting with Brazilian economic and trade officials, as well as holding meetings with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Brazil, the head of the Brazilian Meat Exporters Association and the heads of some important Brazilian banks, and visiting the commercial port of Santos were among the other programs carried out during the delegation’s stay in Brazil.
Hamed Ghaderi, chief executive officer of Atra Atlas Company, stated: After many years have passed since the last official Iranian Sending businessmen was sent to Brazil, the presence of this delegation will be a turning point for the restoration and strengthening of bilateral trade relations.
Regarding the achievements of this trade delegation’s trip, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture said: After the creation of channels to receive currency in China by most of the merchants, the successful completion of two stages of clearing oil with basic goods and the establishment of the yuan-ruble payment channel, an agreement with Brazilian suppliers to receive yuan, completely removed the need for dirhams for basic goods.
According to this report, Hamed Ghaderi was appointed as the official representative of SMIBC BANK SA in the Asian region to expand business relations in the fields of grains and protein products and banking.
