The honorable ambassador of Brazil, Mr. Eduardo Ricardo Gradilone Neto, visited the production line of the company’s products at the invitation of Iran Tobacco Company in cooperation with Atra Atlas Company.
According to the communication and international affairs management of Iran Tobacco Company, the ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil in the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Tuesday, March 12, while meeting with “Mehdi Ashtiani”; The CEO of this company, with a long history of production, played in its various departments. 
At the beginning of the joint meeting between the CEO of Iran Tobacco Company and the ambassador of Brasil in Tehran, Engineer Ashtiani gave a brief speech while welcoming the ambassador and the accompanying delegation, including the economic department of the embassy and managers of Atra Atlas Company, and provided explanations of the needs of Iran Tobacco Company. 

 

Priorities of the tobacco company in cooperation with foreign companies

The ambassador of Brazil, who has been in Tehran for nearly six months, said in this meeting that “Mr. Tiago”; The head of the commercial department and the secretary as well as the deputy of the trade development of the embassy of this country were present in Tehran, while expressing his satisfaction to be present at the Iran Tobacco Company, he pointed out the relations between Iran and his respective country and said: The relations between Iran and Brazil have a history of 120 years. Of course, due to the condition of the region, these diplomatic relations and visits have become more limited, which will definitely improve with the change of the situation; Mr. Thiago, while promising cooperation to introduce Brazilian companies, pointed to the potential of Atra Atlas in Brazil. Brazil does not accept the sanctions imposed against Iran and tries to continue its economic relations with Iran.  

 

Inaccuracy of tobacco import statistics from Brazil to Iran 

 
Referring to the statistics related to the volume of economic relations between Iran and Brazil and stating that these exact statistics are not accurate due to the indirect import of Brazilian products, Neto stated: Tobacco is a good example in this field whose import statistics are not clear.  
The country is known as the land of coffee, golden sands and football and is known as the gateway to Latin America. 
Thiago; The head of the commercial department of the Brazilian embassy in Tehran also mentioned the state of tobacco production in this country and said: last year, 520,000 tons of tobacco were produced in Brazil, 80% of which was virginia, and these productions are mainly carried out in three states.
